Announcing the International Minor for Engineers
Dear Students,
Soon you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the exciting new International Minor for Engineers, available to CoE students starting Fall 2008.
Preparation for global practice is a valued part of a Michigan engineer's education. Our graduates work in multinational teams, create products for a global marketplace, and solve problems that cross national borders and cultures. The International Minor can help you prepare for these challenges and will grant you official recognition for foreign language proficiency, understanding of other cultures, study of engineering in a global context, and practical experience living and working in another country.
You will be able to fit the International Minor requirements into your regular curriculum, but you do need to plan early. The International Programs in Engineering (IPE) Office and the Faculty Advisor for the International Minor will be available starting January 2008 to assist you in tailoring your study plan. Enrollment into the new Minor will begin in Fall 2008.
Read on - this website will give you more details on what is involved and how you should proceed. We are looking forward to meeting you in Fall 2008!
