Advisory Groups

Dean’s DEI Advisory Council

The Dean’s DEI Advisory Council, comprised of leaders from academia, industry, STEM-based non-profit organizations and professional associations, are focused on providing feedback and guidance to the College on all matters relative to the implementation of the strategic plan for diversity equity, and inclusion. The council meets several times a year on campus and works year-round on an ad-hoc basis.

Implementation Committee

The purpose of the CoE DEI Implementation Committee is to plan and oversee the implementation of programs and activities of the strategic plan. The committee comprises senior leaders responsible for all areas of CoE operations. Their charge includes engaging the CoE community, refining and prioritizing the initiatives and projects defined in the DEI Strategic Plan, and providing project oversight and management for DEI initiatives and projects.

Student Advisory Board

The College of Engineering’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory Board (SAB) consists of excited and engaged engineering undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of backgrounds, departments, and class years. The SAB was designed to gather student feedback on the College’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan and develop ideas that will make the College of Engineering a more inclusive place for all students to live, learn, and grow.
