Careers & Industry
Michigan Engineers have access to some of the best programs in the nation. Students learn to be problem solvers, big thinkers, leaders, and most importantly, they learn how to make a difference in the world. Michigan Engineering students are agents of change, and they aren’t afraid to go after their dreams and tackle big projects.
Engineers of today are expected to have developed professional skills in order to interact in the global marketplace. Michigan Engineering provides comprehensive career resources and a strong alumni network to help students connect with employers. Many of our students secure internships and co-ops pre-graduation; and after graduating, our Bachelor and Master students earn average starting salaries of $82,733 and $87,325, respectively. Students connect with prospective employers right on-campus through a variety of events, including two major engineering wide career fairs and thousands of on-campus interviews held each year.
But the professional support of our students doesn’t stop at graduation. With online degrees, certificate programs and other professional development opportunities through Nexus, we’re able to support our alumni as lifelong learners throughout their careers.
