If you have been in the basement of Pierpont Commons, you may have noticed a sign that says “Wellness Zone.” If you were curious enough to follow it, you may have walked in circles, causing you to scratch your head and wonder if you were trying to locate a secret zone à la J.K. Rowling’s Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

Well, it is a mystery no more! The Wellness Zone on North Campus is now a reality for all of us Muggles who spend a lot of time and energy up on North Campus and deserve a place to relax and replenish ourselves. Made possible by the Central Student Government (CSG), Engineering Student Government, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and the Pierpont Commons Board of Representatives, the Wellness Zone will be available to all students after March 18 and is open the same hours as Pierpont Commons.

The Wellness Zone offers a variety of ways to unwind and de-stress, such as massage chairs, SAD light therapy, meditation and yoga tools, and other wellness resources.

We invite you to join the opening celebration March 18 at 4 p.m., where light refreshments and remarks will be shared with the North Campus Community.
