Surviving and Thriving in Graduate School

Utilizing the special resources and services for graduate students will help you make the most of your graduate school experience. The Rackham School of Graduate Studies maintains academic records and dissertation information as well as offers workshops for your personal and professional development. The College of Engineering's Office of Graduate Education also provides workshops and services specifically for engineering graduate students. The Graduate Society of Women Engineers also offers exceptional professional development workshops and social activities for women. See the highlights below!

Fall 2008
Grad SWE/MUSES Welcome Dinner

Meet and interact informally with new and seasoned graduate women. Current graduate women share their insights and practical suggestions for a productive, enriching graduate school experience. Meet the WIE peer advisor for your department.

Fellowships Application Workshop sponsored by the CoE Office of Graduate Education and the Rackham Graduate School.

If you are considering applying for a fellowship, this is the workshop for you! Come hear from graduate students who have successfully applied for fellowships, listen to the experience of a faculty member who has served on a fellowship committee, and receive hand-outs of successful and unsuccessful applications. This event is open to graduate students, and senior undergraduates.
