Transfer Credit
Use our Course Equivalency database to find out what transfer credit you will receive from courses taken at other colleges and Universities. If your school or a course is not listed, it doesn't mean that it won't be accepted, it means that it hasn't been evaluated for transfer. Courses not included on the database will be evaluated during the review of your application.
Students with AP, IB, or International (A-level) exams may also receive transfer credit:
- AP –Advanced Placement credit will be given to students with satisfactory scores. AP scores must be sent to the University of Michigan by College Board. For additional information, click here
- IB – To receive credit for International Baccalaureate (I.B.) examinations, an official transcript of examination grades must be officially sent by the I.B. Office (New York, Geneva, or London) directly to the College of Engineering Office of Recruitment and Admissions. Generally, credit is awarded for I.B. Higher Level examinations passed with scores of 5 or above. No credit is given for standard/subsidiary level examinations. For additional information, click here
- International (A-level) – Advanced credit is generally awarded to students taking A-level exams with satisfactory scores. Advanced credit is not awarded for O-level exams. See Country specific requirements.
