Admitted Transfer Students


Pay your enrollment deposit:

The quickest and most convenient way to pay your $200 Enrollment Deposit is online via Wolverine Access on the same page where you are able to view your admissions decision. Through the online system you must pay via an electronic check payment (either a savings or a checking account); please have your routing number ready.

If you prefer to send your payment through the mail, you may do so by including a check or money order with the Enrollment Deposit form. The EDR (Enrollment Deposit form) may be printed from Wolverine Access. Please mail the Form and your $200 payment to:

U-M Email and Uniqname Sign-up

Once you have been admitted, important communications will be sent to your Umich email account. To obtain a Umich email account, you must first sign up for a U-M uniqname.

To create your U-M uniqname, you'll need your One Time Identifier (OTID), which is e-mailed to you after admission, and your U-M ID number, which is included in your admission letter. Once you have your OTID and U-M ID,  go to the following web site sign up for your uniqname: http://www.itd.umich.edu/uniqname/.

Your U-M email account will be created after you receive a U-M uniqname.

Financial Aid

Information regarding Financial Aid can be found at: http://www.finaid.umich.edu/ We encourage admitted students to fill out the FAFSA form for full financial aid and scholarship consideration. Note: Financial aid is not available to international students.

Housing

For Housing information, visit our Housing website at: http://www.housing.umich.edu. The Housing Office will automatically send an application to your Umich email account. If you are interested in University Housing, please respond to the electronic application promptly.

Orientation

The Office of New Student Programs holds an orientation for all students new to the University of Michigan. Detailed information regarding sign-up and schedule for all orientation will be sent to your Umich email account after your enrollment deposit has been received.

Advising and Registration

New transfer students will meet with their academic advisor during orientation, and will register for classes at that time.
