This U-M team has set out to create a successful human-powered helicopter and compete for the Sikorsky prize offered by the American Helicopter Society, which sets fourth specific requirements and has yet to be won by any design/build group. The project is in a preliminary design phase and is being conducted through the Department of Aerospace Engineering's directed-study program.
