Safety Suggestion Form
Purpose of Student Projects Safety Committee (SPSC)
- To facilitate and encourage student knowledge about safe work practices and accident
prevention.
- To address safety and health issues common to all team members.
- To provide an opportunity for team members to discuss health and safety problems or
concerns they may be facing.
- To identify and implement possible solutions to health and safety problems brought to
the attention of the SPSC.
Goals/Objectives for SPSC
Hold monthly meetings with designated team member. Topics will include but
are not limited to the following:
- Issues/concerns with facility safety
- Questions regarding PPE
- Training on specific topics
- UM resources - i.e. other facilities or equipment available outside WSTPC
- Other team safety concerns/questions
- New SOP review
- Accident/incident review - individual team accidents as well as CoE lab
accidents
- Review results of quarterly safety inspections
