2006 Techniques
These pages are meant to be documentation for the Michigan Concrete Canoe Team and all thoes about
learning how a concrete canoe may be designed, constructed, and raced. They are also to act as a suppliments to the 2003
techniques page, since the team relies on building its knowledge for year to year. Many of the techniques first used in 2003 like Rhiocerous(3D Modeling)
and Abaques (Finite Element) are imporved upon in from 2004-2006.
Many of the pages will contain pdf. files pertaining to the design of the canoe which are free to the public for
personal use only. If you have questions contact the team at mcct@umich.edu and we will try to answer your questions to the best of our ability.
The creative process is broken into a series of steps. This listing is by no means comprehensive nor is it the only way
in which a quality design can be achieved. We are constantly thinking how we could have made things better after we have finished a step in the process.
