Purpose and Strategy

The purpose of CoE college-wide assessment is to support ongoing departmental efforts to design and implement curricula that best prepare students for life and work after graduation. Our strategy is to support departments in identifying the strengths in their undergraduate programs and opportunities for improvement by both

  • conducting and interpreting a number of indirect assessments of student learning and the undergraduate experience (e.g., alumni surveys, senior exit surveys, employer surveys/interviews) and
  • supporting faculty in planning and conducting both direct and indirect assessment of student learning.
