Mark's high school graduating class consisted of 59 students, including his twin sister: Emmetsburg is a very small town (3800 residents, two stoplights). For 2007 Spring Break, a group of mark and four of his friends road-tripped across country with stops at the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Aspen, and Los Angeles - all for the sole purpose of going to see Bob Barker on the Price is Right. Last summer, he and his friends also went to a rodeo, where he entered a contest to wrestle a bull to the ground. He didn't win. When not traveling the country and wrangling bulls, Mark, a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer, also spends his time as a Quarterdeck Society member, and playing intramural sports (flag football, basketball, broomball, and slow-pitch softball). He is also a Mary Markley Cafeteria employee and a CoE Peer Advisor.
