Advising, Counseling and Referrals
Advice and information are readily available from a variety of sources. Our office hours are from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are generally available for walk-in appointments during that time. For undergraduates, formal and informal mentoring programs are available on campus. For graduate students, peer advisors serve almost every engineering department. Structured and formal counseling is available through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
General advising concerning academic, career and personal issues is available to students at all levels. WIE staff provide information, offer guidance, make referrals and provide support. Students may walk-in or call 647-7012 for an appointment. WIE office staff members are also designated UM Sexual Harassment Complaint Receivers and can receive complaints from students and staff.
