Engineering Career Resource Center
The Engineering Career Resource Center (ECRC) is the central resource for career-related support with the College of Engineering.
- Student peer advisors and professional staff available to assist students with resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, etc.
- Arranges employment interviews on campus (October-December and January-March) for graduating students and students seeking internships.
- Provides information about position openings, career guidance and volumes of employer/career information.
- Maintains HireME, an online system for on campus interview sign-up and job postings specifically geared toward U-M students and graduates.
- Hosts workshops & company days
- Information on internships and cooperative education positions.
UM Career Center
The Career Center assists students from all academic levels and academic units with their career exploration, job and internship search skill development, and interests in advanced educational opportunities. Access The Career Center to support your career goals:
- Career counseling by appointment, including self-assessment tools, and drop-in advising.
- Workshops on Wheels, programs delivered to your student organization, residence hall, classroom, club or department.
- Connections with employers: on-line job bulletin, web-based on-campus recruitment system, and job fairs.
- Specialized services for graduate students, and for students interested in pre-med/health and pre-law resources.
- Our Reference Letter Service offers the opportunity to have letters of reference on file to use in support of employment and continuing education options.
- Career library and web resources to support all of your career needs.
Alumni Association Career Services
Services are provided by the Alumni Association and their partners to currently enrolled U-M students from all three campuses. Some CareerPort resources that students are invited to use are as follows:
- Alumni NetWorks: Career mentoring service
- Blogging: Find out from recent U-M grads how to survive your first 9 to 5 job, what grad school is like and how to pursue your post-college dreams. Blogs are written by recent grads with you in mind.
- inCircle: Online directory and networking community
- Michigan Apprentice: Spend a full day shadowing an alum in the field you're interested in and learn from the best.
- Relocation Connection: Local Relocation Connection hosts can help make your move or travel in many regions of the country easier and less hectic. They can provide information about living in a particular neighborhood, how to register to vote or get a new driver's license or what's new and fun in the area.

- Wolverine Occupational Research Center (WORC): Online resource to help you perfect your resume, conduct research about a company you're interested in, and get in touch with career counselors.
