History of the Senior Class Gift
The Engineering Senior Class Gift program dates back to the early 1900s. And even though the Engineering Arch has yielded in significance to the Lurie Tower, the tradition of philanthropy and excellence in engineering education continues.
Each graduating class inherits the privilege to leave behind a legacy gift. You may already be familiar with some of these notable class gifts - the benches located between the EECS Building and the Duderstadt Center (1909E, 1911E, 1913E and 1920E), the Block M located on the North Campus Diag (2000E), the bronze wolverine statue (2001E) near the Class of 1947E Reflecting Pool, the pool table (2003E) located in Pierpont Commons and the 2006E Grove located within the Liddle Plaza in front of the Computer Science and Engineering building.
