International Students
International students have limited financial aid resources available, however, merit-based scholarship opportunities are available to international students and can help to fund your education in the U.S. We have collected information on several different resources available to international students who are planning to study at the University of Michigan. You will find that the University of Michigan's International Center is the place to get most of the information you're looking for.
Current international students who have completed at least one semester of study at the University of Michigan can apply for the Need- and Merit-Based College of Engineering Scholarships. If applying for the need-based scholarships, you will be required to submit official documentation in English supporting a significant change in your ability to provide full financial support for your undergraduate education as you previously certified for visa eligibility. For more information on these opportunities, please visit our Current Students section.
