The University of Michigan offers a huge amount of co-curricular activities for students - over 1,000 clubs and student organizations, a thriving Greek system, musical and theatrical events, team sports on every level, and even exercise facilities. And if you're interested in going out on the town, Ann Arbor is perfect for you.

Student Organizations

Michigan has student organizations for almost any interest. There are over 1,000 clubs registered with the Michigan Student Assembly, as well Student Engineering Teams who compete at the national and international levels with other universities.

  • University of Michigan Engineering Council - Over 70 student organizations are available in the College of Engineering and are funded through student government.
  • Student Engineering Teams - All teams can be found here, as well as how to join them.
  • Office of Student Activities and Leadership - Information on joining a student organization, and how to work with the University once you're in one.
  • Leadership Resources - The Student Leadership and Activities Office coordinates and provides funding from the College of Engineering, plays an important role in leadership education on campus, and provides student organization support.

Greek Life

Greek life is an important tradition here at the University, and there are nearly 60 fraternities and sororities on campus. The Office of Greek Life can give you information on every chapter, as well as how to join a fraternity or sorority.
