Graduation Brunch

Engineering graduates and their guests are invited to attend a brunch hosted by the College prior to the University-wide Winter Commencement. Graduates and candidates of the Summer or Fall Term of the current year are eligible to participate, along with up to six guests. No tickets are needed, but pre-registration is necessary.

This brunch is an opportunity for graduates and their guests to celebrate with their families, fellow degree holders and College faculty and administrators. There will not be a formal program or series of speakers.

The brunch will take place at the Michigan Union, 530 South State Street. In order to accommodate all graduates and their guests, there will be two seatings:

First Seating 9-10:30 a.m.

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
  • Engineering Physics
  • Industrial and Operations Engineering
  • Interdisciplinary Engineering

Second Seating 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Graduates who are affiliated with two departments, or those with double majors, may attend the seating for either department but must make that selection as part of the brunch registration.

You are welcome to dine at any point during your assigned seating time. Depending upon when you arrive, there may be a slight wait before your group can be seated. To minimize the wait, small groups may be asked to share a table and large groups may need to be seated at more than one table.

Reservations

Although reservations are necessary, you do not need tickets for the brunch. Graduates may make reservations online. Please RSVP by the registration deadline. Once you have registered online, email EngineeringEvent@umich.edu or call (734) 647-7046 to make any changes to your registration.

When you arrive at the Michigan Union, please check in at the registration table located in the hallway to pick up your nametags and receive your room assignment.
