Recruiting Process & Selection Methods
Requesting a Recruiting Date
To schedule a recruiting date, please complete and submit the online Recruitment Reservation Form. Our office will confirm your date(s) and notify you via email within one week following submission of your request. Reservations will be accepted beginning March 31, 2008. Confirmations will begin the week of April 7, 2008.
Completing Your RRF
The RRF is required to ensure a successful recruiting visit. We ask that you carefully review all RRFs before submitting them to our office. Last-minute changes to your interview schedules will impact the success of your recruiting visit. Contact your Campus Recruiting Program Coordinator immediately if you foresee any changes.
Recruiting Selection Methods
Note: GPA will not be a screening requirement for students to submit resumes. This also applies to 100% open schedules. You may include a preferred GPA in your job description in HireME.
The ECRC uses the following screening criteria for on-campus interview schedules:
• Graduation Date
• Degree/Major
• Work Authorization
100% Preselect
This method allows students who qualify for the position (based on the screening criteria above) to submit their resume to request an on-campus interview. You will then have an opportunity to pre-select students who you will allow to sign up for interview slots.
100% Open Schedule
This method allows any student who qualifies for the position (based on the screening criteria above) to sign up for an interview slot beginning two weeks prior to the interview date.
Room-Only Reservation
This method allows a company to build its own interview schedule with resumes obtained during a career fair, company day or resume drop. The ECRC will reserve interview space. Companies that utilize the Room-Only method are required to provide a copy of each interview schedule prior to the interviews.
Resume Drop
This method allows students who qualify for the position (based on the screening criteria above) to submit their resume via HireME.
Completing the Online Job Description
Once you receive confirmation, submit your job description(s) via HireME (our online recruiting system). Description(s) must be submitted by August 1, 2008. Companies that receive confirmations after August 1, 2008., are required to submit descriptions within two weeks of confirmation. Late submission can result in interview date cancellation by the ECRC.
Recruiting Deadlines
Recruiting methods that involve pre-selection or open schedules are guided by timelines set forth in advance by the ECRC. When scheduling a recruiting date and submitting required paperwork, please pay special attention to the timelines below. A successful recruiting effort is often dependent upon allowing sufficient time for students to submit resumes and sign up for interviews.
