           <title>June 07 - Info Session: Fulbright Program for US Students</title>

               <p><span>The purpose      of the Fulbright Program is to increase mutual understanding between the      people of th<span style="color: black; ">e U.S. </span>and other      countries.  Th<span style="color: black; ">e U.S. Department of State</span> makes Fulbright fellowships available to approximately 1,700 U.S.         students annually to study, conduct research, teach English, or  train   in      the <span style="color: black; ">creative arts in more than 135      countries worldwide. </span></span><span style="color: black; "> </span></p>
<div><span style="color: black; ">The competition is administered at      U-M t</span><span>hrough      the International Institute. At the information session, <span style="color: black; ">a U-M Fulbright</span> Program Advisor will describe      the application and selection    process and provide suggestions for making      your application more    competitive.</span></div>

<div>Applicants  should attend an information session and        familiarize themselves  with the Fulbright website, paying particular        attention to the <i><a href="http://us.fulbrightonline.org/program_regions_world.html">Country      Summaries</a></i> and <i><a href="http://us.fulbrightonline.org/preparingapplication.html">Preparing      an Application</a></i> sections.  After attending an information      session applicants    should meet individually with the appropriate      Fulbright Program    Advisor:</div>
