Study, Work and Research Abroad
Adding an international experience to the traditional engineering curriculum prepares students for working and living in today's globalized society. Michigan Engineering maintains partnerships with technical universities around the world to provide students with opportunities for study or research abroad. The International Programs in Engineering Office can assist students with finding a program that meets their needs. In addition to CoE's partner institutions, students may study abroad at dozens of international universities through the Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE3) program. IPE also offers resources for students seeking internships, volunteer work or community service projects overseas.
The Program in Global Engineering (PGE) is open to undergraduate students from all engineering disciplines. This academic concentration integrates international coursework, overseas experience, and cross-cultural training. PGE equips undergraduates with the skills and experience needed for success in the global engineering environment. The program is designed to align with regular engineering degree requirements so that participation does not delay time to graduation.
