The first race is the American Solar Challenge 2005, a cross-country adventure that goes from Texas to Canada. The second is the World Solar Challenge which begins along the northern shores of Australia in Darwin and races through the heart of the Outback to the southern shores of Adelaide. Both of these races are international competitions open to any corporate, collegiate, or private teams and they attract some of the brightest student minds in the world.

History
Our team has a had a long and successful history in solar car racing built on the great traditions of our previous vehicles - Sunrunner, Maize & Blue, Solar Vision, Wolverine, MaizeBlaze, M-Pulse and SpectruM. In the past decade of racing, our team has won three of the seven previous national championships and we've competed in Australia four times, finishing as high as third place twice.
