Well, perhaps we should call it "Cloudrayce 99." Only two teams finished the day under their own power, University of Missouri - Rolla and Queen's University. We finished third on the day, trailering the last 6 miles, mainly due to the time constraints of the race day. Day Two really shook up the standings, we are now in fourth place overall, a change of 11 places.

   Day Three looks to be a cloudy drive through North Carolina, from Raleigh to Charlotte. This is another long day at 181 miles, and with the weather as it is right now, nobody is certain how the rayc e will go.

Final Update:

   We decided to trailer the car to Charlotte, NC to improve the chances of recharging our battery pack. The pack was already depleted from running almost the entire Day Two with no sun, and the weathe r was just as lousy today. We are hoping to see an improvement in the weather, the forecast looks like it will be at least partly sunny tomorrow. Preliminary info indicates that most of the teams trailered their cars today, so Sunrayce will be spending most of t onight figuring out the penalty minutes.
