YES - Young Engineers and Scientists starting Saturday March 21, 2009 and ending April 11, 2009 This year we are going to be going to LA SED in Detroit and run a program for High School students who we will teach how to build RC airplanes.

Jr. YES is a program for middle school aged children. During the eight or so weeks of the program student volutneers go out to the Detroit area and help children prepare to compete in the first lego league competition at the Detroit Science Center in November.

Multicultural Celebration
In this annual event. Members of SHPE and some of our corporate sponsors go to Roberto Clamente Learning Academy in South West Detroit and hold a winter tradition celebration for the kindergarten and first graders. During the celebration we try to teach the children about different cultures winter traditions through reading books and a short presentation.

This year the celebration will be held on Friday December 4, more information will be available soon.

Palma Tutoring Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the Ann Arbor District Library, 343 S. Fifth Ave.
