ABOUT MICHIGAN PI RHO

The University of Michigan Pi Tau Sigma chapter is Michigan Pi Rho. The chapter is active throughout the year with weekly meetings, community events, corporate and academic networking opportunities, and social outings.

Community Events

Michigan Pi Rho stays involved in the community by partaking in Relay for Life, hosting a booth at Tech Day for prospective students, and baking cookies for the young patients at the Ronald McDonald House.

Michigan Pi Rho is known as the “brat grilling society.” During the warmer months, we grill and sell bratwursts on campus.

Michigan Pi Rho co-sponsors a student and faculty breakfast that allows students and faculty to converse and network over free food.

Michigan Pi Rho also offers weekly mentoring sessions.

Corporate and Academic Networking Opportunities

Michigan Pi Rho invites engineering companies and programs to meetings to enable members to learn about mechanical engineering-related industries and to network with the recruiters.

Social Outings

Michigan Pi Rho encourages its members to balance their work with social activities. Some events include Buffalo Wild Wings, whirlyball, and intramural sports.

More information about Michigan Pi Rho can be found at the chapter’s website: www.engin.umich.edu/soc/pts.
