Lauded Dining Hall Experience is Ruined Again by China (Dishes)
Problem description: As a “usual” at the Bursley dining hall, it seems as if not even half of my meal can fit on a tray. Whether a plate, bowl or other fancy china dinnerware piece Michigan serves us on, it seems to have its own personality in which its selfishness does not allow anything else to fit on the tray with it. The dishes used are first off not space savvy nor durable and are the most inconvenient dimensions in relations to the tray. As much surface area the tray makes available, I should be able to carry at least half of my meal at once. All that time wasted (though calories burned), making multiple trips up to the dining area crowds the limited space and lessens the wonderful experience Bursley is intended to bring upon its guests.
Proposed solution: Change the dish design.
