The University of Michigan Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is pleased to announce the 2003 Walter J. Weber Jr. Distinguished Lecture in Environmental Sciences and Engineering. This annual lecture series brings one of the world's foremost experts in environmental engineering and science to campus each year to share the results of their work and their vision for the future. This seminar is made possible through the generous support of Professor Walter J. Weber, Jr., Ph.D., P.E., D.E.E. Dr. Weber has been a member of Michigan faculty since 1963 and is currently the Gordon Maskew Fair and Earnest Boyce Distinguished University Professor. He also serves as Director of the College of Engineering's Concentrations in Environmental Sustainability or ConsEnSus Program.

The fourth annual Walter J. Weber Jr. Distinguished Lecture in Environmental Sciences and Engineering will be delivered by Joan Rose. Dr. Rose is Homer Nowlin Chair For Water Research in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University.
