has been awarded the Horace Williams King Collegiate
Professor. She is the first woman in the College of Engineering to be
honored with a chaired professor position. |

On the April 10th 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' episode Kevin Olmstead,
who graduated with a PhD from the Environmental Engineering program in
1989, won two million dollars. Kevin lives in Ann Arbor is is a senior
project engineer with Tetra Tech MPS. |

On March 22, 2001, EWRE alumnus Professor Takashi Asano (Ph.D., '70) was
awarded the prestigious 2001 Stockholm Water Prize for his outstanding
contributions to efficient use of water in the domain of wastewater
reclamation, recycling and reuse through theoretical developments,
practical research and worldwide adaptation and promotion. |
