The University of Michigan Engineering Council is the primary resource for many societies to recieve funding. Through an allocations meeting, they determine how much money to provide each student society for specific events. Preference has historically been given for events that increase service or college-wide relations on campus.
Michigan Student Assembly (MSA) MSA goes through several funding cycles each year to try to provide societies with event money. Money can be given to anything that is essential for an event to take place, but is not allocated for anything that can be considered an "assett". For specific guidelines, contact the CoE-MSA representatives. This service is typically under-utilized by the CoE.

This is so much easier than it sound! Most companies would love to get involved with Michigan Engineering for publicity and recruiting purposes. The easier you make it for them to directly connect with you, the better it will be for your group or project team. If you haven't attempted this route yet for funding we strongly encourage you to try.
CoE Departments Surprisingly, a lot of departments are willing to spend significant amounts of money to improve the student experience. It can't hurt so give them a try.
