    Members Present:

II.  Pressing Issue Review-
     no pressing issues

III.  Website Status - Eric J
      Eric J has permissions granted for website (/afs/engin.umich.edu/group/engin/org/ASEE/WEB )
      Need to login to engin machines, not itd machines to access info
      Added minutes section to website
      Will begin updating information today

IV.  Budget Update - Eric D
     SOAS has all our money.
     Eric D will take over after James is done with travel reimbursements
     Don't have to do annual report with SOAS

V.  Summer Seminar Series - Tony
    Have rooms reserved: Wednesdays July 18 to August 22 from 11:30-1:30
    Meetings in Johnson rooms, except Aug 1: 1504 GGBL
    Lots of evaluators have volunteered
    Erics will help with set up
    About 5 abstracts so far
    Need to publicise 

VI.  InSight ("outreach") top ideas
     -Susan notes that we should call "InSight" "Outreach" because that's what these events are
     a.  Ludicrous Pi calculation - Eric J.
		   i.  When do we want to do it?
		       -Welcome day
		       -springfest
		       -sometime warm
	      ii.  How do we want to organize it?
	          -couple-week long competition?
		       -by department?
		       -by society?
		  iii.  How much will it cost?
			    -ping pong balls are expensive
			    -need compressed air
			    -Hotdogs are a no-no for shooting all over campus
     b.  High school outreach
	      i.  Do an engineering day in fall?
	      ii.  Science fair mentoring in Spring (March)
	      iii.  Science fair judging very in-demand
     c.  Choosing advisor / post doc 
		  i.  Unique event put on by ASEE - fits into a seminar series
     d.  CPR/First aid
		   i.  Nice general education event
		   ii.  Strong general interest
     -Tony will head up Grad education and HS outreach activities, Eric J on Ludicrous Pi calc, and Eric D on CPR.

VII.  Tri-fold Brochure
      Tony is updating it with ideas from meeting.

VIII.  Needs assessment
       a.  Educational research paper on something?
	   -Maybe follow up on Reggie/John's paper
	   -Maybe an article involving Ludicrous Pi calculation

IX.  National meeting 2007 in Hawaii
     Dan and other dude are going to present wiki and educational technology stuff.  We're hanging out in AA, being cool.
