About AIAA AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) is a national society for professionals (and students!) in the field of aerospace engineering.
The University of Michigan chapter is a student-run organization which seeks to educate and excite students at U-M about aerospace technologies and science, and to promote fellowship among students interested in these topics. Our regular activities include bringing speakers from aerospace companies to campus and making field trips to airports, museums, and other industry-related sites. Organization Mission: The objective of the AIAA is to advance the arts, sciences, and technology of aeronautics and astronautics. AIAA fosters the professional development of those engaged in scientific and engineering activities. Programs: AIAA on campus has biweekly meetings with aerospace industry speakers, field trips, a spring Aerospace Department picnic, occasional social events, and much much more. AIAA is open to all members of the University community - from designers and scientists to pilots and even just plane enthusiasts! |
