The Society of Minority Engineers and Scientiests-Graduate Component (SMES-G) was founded to serve as a social network for graduate students of color majoring in engineering and science disciplines. Primarily, our activities are geared towards four major focus:
|Recruitment, Outreach, Advocacy, & Retention (R.O.A.R.)|
We strive to meet real student needs and community demands. We create an environment that encourages community and skill building. It is our belief that graduate students perform better when they feel that they are part of a welcoming, nurturing environment.
