Membership to the ASEE Student Chapter is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Michigan, especially to those associated with engineering and engineering technology.
Membership and participation in the chapter's activities is free from discrimination that is based on race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, handicap, gender, or sexual orientation.
We welcome your participation in the chapter's activities and strongly encourage you to become involved in both the student chapter and the national society. (Student membership in the national ASEE organization requires an annual $20 fee. An application form may be found at ASEE's Web site, at www.asee.org. NOTE: Membership in the national society is not a prerequisite for student chapter membership.)
There are two degrees of membership in the student chapter: student member and associate member. Graduate and undergraduate students may join the chapter as student members, while faculty and staff may join as associate members. Associate members may not vote or hold office in the student chapter, but they have all the other privileges of a student member.
