Experimental Facilities

• 70-fs mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser (770-830 nm) (2 home-built systems)

• 50-fs mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser (Coherent Mira)

• 10-fs mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser

• 250-kHz regenerative amplifier for generation of 80-fs 4-microjoule pulses and white-light continuum

• visible optical parametric amplifier providing 80-fs pulses (signal tunable 450-700 nm) at 250 kHz repetition rate

• infrared optical parametric amplifier and difference frequency generator enabling 100-fs 2-10 micron wavelength pulse generation at 250 kHz

• femtosecond white-light spectroscopy facility

• flexible pump-probe femtosecond transient absorption / reflection / luminescence correlation and upconversion setups (2 setups)

• terahertz-bandwidth, coherent time-domain imaging and spectroscopy facility

• 5-ps Synchroscan streak camera (350-1600 nm)

• atomic-force microscope

• four continuous-flow liquid helium cryostats with optical access

• Olympus inverted microscope with CCD detection, adaptive optics and multiphoton beam scanning system

• two-photon optical fiber fluorescence (TPOFF) probe station

• two-photon flow cytometry system: in vitro and in vivo

• multichannel scalers (2)

• APD photon counting detectors (2)

• adaptive pulse shaping & pulse characterization facility
