Takeshi Matsuoka

Matsuoka

Research Fellow
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Dr. Takeshi Matsuoka obtained a PhD from Institute of Laser Engineering in Osaka, where he participated in inertial confinement fusion research and studied laser plasma interactions such as stimulated Raman scattering and relativistic self-focusing of laser pulses. In 2004 Matsuoka joined the University. He participates in experiments including laser wakefield acceleration and proton production using HERCULES laser system. His current research interest is to realize a stable table-top GeV electron accelerator and its applications to x-ray free electron laser.
