An Overview of Control Systems Research at the Air Force Laboratory

This talk is about current research activities at the Control Science Center of Excellence located at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. The Center's on going activities are focused on four technical areas: 1) control of unmanned air vehicles, 2) control of transatmospheric vehicles, 3) control of microsatellites, and 4) active control of fluid flows. An overview of some of the research accomplishments in these four areas will be discussed in this talk. A brief explanation of future research directions and areas of technical emphasis will also be discussed.
