    Michigan Engineering and General Motors have established the GM/U-M Advanced Battery Coalition for Drivetrains (ABCD), a five-year, $5-million collaboration, headquartered at U-M. More External Link Video External Link

    Researchers from four Michigan Engineering departments and the U-M Transportation Research Institute, and engineers from the Michigan Department of Transportation and five private firms have received a National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Technology Innovation Program Award to support a $19 million smart bridges project.
