Student Projects and Teams: Central to the Michigan Engineering student experience
Through classes and extracurricular activities, student projects and student teams are central to the educational experience at the College of Engineering. Students build vehicles to compete in races for solar cars, bajas, concrete canoes, and human-powered submarines and helicopters, to name a few. They invent IED detectors, build bridges, create low-cost surgical lamps, medical data loggers and more. They even install satellite dishes that bring the internet to Africa. No matter what your engineering interest is, there is a student team or project for you.
