Serving up the Internet in Africa

Residents of rural Kenya now have email accounts and Internet access thanks in part to the work of a University of Michigan engineering student project called IMAGINE Africa, which stands for IMplementing A Global Internet NEtwork in Africa. Students traveled there to enable satellite-based service at three locations. The project is supported by Google.
