The Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute (MMPEI) has selected 49 distinguished faculty from across the University of Michigan for membership in its Faculty Fellows Program.

MMPEI Director Gary Was said that the Program "represents the most active faculty in energy research and education at the University of Michigan . They're the experts in their respective fields and, together; they comprise a significant resource in energy expertise for the University, the community and the nation. The MMPEI Faculty Fellows program provides an opportunity for faculty to connect with the energy initiative, to play a role in its evolution and to interact with other Fellows with complementary interests in research and teaching." 

The MMPEI is charting a path to a clean, secure and affordable energy future by developing and coordinating energy research and education in the physical and social sciences at U-M. Faculty Fellows will help to shape the energy initiative by participating in MMPEI activities and events and providing feedback on solicitations and proposals for energy research and education programs. Fellows will also makes themselves available to answer energy-related questions from the media, industry and government.

Faculty in the Fellows Program come from the College of Engineering, the School of Natural Resources and Environment, the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, the Law School, the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the A.
