Professor Wayne Jones will receive the 2007 Harold R. Johnson Diversity Service Award during a recognition ceremony and dinner, May 24, at the Alumni Center. The honor includes a $5,000 award that Jones can use to further his research and teaching efforts.

The Harold R. Johnson Diversity Service Award was established in 1996 in honor of Harold R. Johnson, former dean of the School of Social Work. The award recognizes University of Michigan faculty members on the Ann Arbor campus who have exhibited outstanding leadership in the area of cultural diversity and outstanding contributions to the multicultural mission of the University.
