Yoram Koren Receives Outstanding Investigator Award

korenYoram Koren, Paul G. Goebel Professor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, has received the 2004 Hideo Hanafusa Outstanding Investigator Award from the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers (ISCIE). He accepted the award at the 2004 Japan-USA Symposium on Flexible Automation (JUSFA).

Biennially, starting in 2000, JUSFA has honored one outstanding investigator for “significant contribution(s) in the field of flexible automation, including technical or scientific publications, theses, patents, inventions, or combinations of the above in the field of automation.” The Hideo Hanafusa Outstanding Investigator Award is open to all investigators working or having worked in areas related to flexible automation. The ISCIE bases the award on papers presented at JUSFA and on contributions made elsewhere.
