The Engineering Advising Center supports first-year and undeclared students in their transition from high school to the rigorous academic demands of the College of Engineering. The Center fosters success by assisting students in the development of their educational plans, career goals, and personal decision-making. The programs and services are designed to inform, support, and encourage individuals to be self-directed in their educational planning process.
To ensure a successful first-year experience, meet with the EAC advisors to help;
- Clarify policies and procedures
- Share personal concerns
- Discuss academic problems
- Review study and time-management skills
- Provide referral to tutoring services
- Schedule Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer courses
- Discuss taking courses at another college
- Verify AP and transfer credits
Engineering Career Resource Center
The Engineering Career Resource Center provides Resume and Cover Letter critiques to students through staff and student peer advisors. The staff advisor is available throughout the day between 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday throughout the year.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available for many classes in the ELC. Tutors can help navigate first- and second-year students through foundational math, science, and engineering courses. You can find all the classes available for tutoring here.
