Academic Development Conference

Summer Academic Development Conference

What is it?
The Academic Development Conference is a professional conference that provides SEI participants an opportunity to interact with current students, faculty, alumni and corporate representatives.  Participants hear success stories, learn strategies and best practices to enhance performance and discuss concerns and questions that they may have.

Along with the student component, the Academic Development Conference offers valuable information to the parents of incoming first year students. Parents have the opportunity to meet and talk with current University of Michigan engineering students and staff in a relaxed panel atmosphere, to ask questions and discuss their personal experiences with their students.  Parents will also have a special presentation about financial aid from a senior financial aid officer.

Cost?
All costs of the Academic Development Conference are covered by the College of Engineering Multicultural Engineering Programs Office (except for metered parking).  Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
