About MEPO

Multicultural Engineering Programs Office

"It is this convergence -- of new players, on a new playing field, developing new processes for horizontal collaboration -- that I believe is the most important force shaping global economics and politics in the early 21st century."
-Thomas Friedman, The World is Flat

As Michigan Engineering continues to prepare students for a more global society, our organizational structure must evolve. To that end, we are excited to announce changes at MEPO. These changes include a broader mission and audience, different services and a new name.

The Multicultural Engineering Programs Office serves students from all backgrounds. Whether looking to develop diversity workplace skills, collaborate with other students from different cultural backgrounds or transition effectively into the College's environment, all students will find benefits from the new MEPO. Faculty and staff are encouraged to draw on MEPO resources to improve the classroom and community experience for all, as well as to provide support for individual needs. MEPO's mission is to support diversity throughout the College community in a variety of ways, in particular, by establishing partnerships with numerous other units throughout the College and University.
