The Spare Tire Carrier
The Spare Tire Carrier helps easily retrieve a spare tire from
beneath the car. Existing spare tire carriers utilize the same
underbody space, although none of these apply a complex
mechanism to perform motion generation. As a result, the
current designs require the owners to remove the tires
themselves. The Spare Tire Carrier improves the car owner's
ability to retrieve the tire from under the car with ease.
This device was created by students Chris Irwin, Pat O'Grady and Evita Nedelkoska
in fall 2002, instructors: Professor Sridhar Kota and Teaching Assistant Charles Kim.
