Overview: The University of Melbourne, established in 1855, is Australia's leading research university. Its engineering school has been in the forefront of engineering research in Australia for over 50 years. This institution of 32,000 students, of which 7,000 are international students, offers undergraduate, master-level, and Ph.D. programs in almost all engineering disciplines. There are also more than 160 student clubs and societies on campus, making it easy to fit into university life.
Dates: The traditional Australian academic year is from February to December, consisting of two 14-week semesters. UM students may choose to study during Winter term, Fall term, or for the full academic year.
