The International Programs in Engineering office is accepting Travel Grant applications for CoE students participating in an IPE study abroad program.  Travel grants of $500 - $1000 will be awarded on a competitive basis to offset the cost of international travel. These funds will be disbursed to UM student accounts after study abroad enrollment is confirmed.

Eligibility

All CoE students participating in an IPE study abroad program are welcome to apply.

Deadlines

• Summer Semester Abroad - Feb 15
• Fall Semester Abroad - Feb 15
• Winter Semester Abroad - October 1

2. Email your resume in .pdf format to IPETravelGrant@umich.edu
   Please name the file "uniqname_resume.pdf"

Students may apply for the Travel Grant prior to admission to a study abroad program.  Awards will be disbursed to students after their enrollment is confirmed.

Outreach

In exchange for financial support, IPE Travel Grant recipients must complete one of the following upon their return to UM:

1. Write a report about their international living experience from an academic and cultural perspective, which may be posted in IPE publications. Photos are also welcome.
2. Give an oral presentation based on their experience at an Engineering Study Abroad event.
3. Create a short video about their experience either on-location or upon their return to be used for IPE publicity.
4. Participate in an IPE recruitment or orientation session as a past program participant.
