Photo Entries

Photo Contest Categories

  • Wolverines Abroad: Photographs submitted to this category should feature UM Engineering students abroad. At least one UM engineering student (you or others) must be in the photograph to qualify.
  • Host Country/Culture: Photographs submitted to this category should capture the culture, landscape, architecture and/or people of your host country.

Photo Contest Entries
Students can submit up to 2 photographs for each category: Wolverines Abroad and Host Country/Culture.  To submit photographs, please complete the following steps:

  1. Prepare your photo file(s) according to these guidelines:

    • Save each photo at highest quality possible. 
    • Photo filename should follow this format:
      Country_First NameLast Name SubPhoto Form Iconmission Number. (Example: Brazil_JenniferJonesPhoto1.jpg)
  2. After you have saved your photo(s) using the filenaming format above, please complete a the online submission form. You must submit a new form for each photo that you intend to enter.

    • Online Photo Contest Submission Form:
      http://request.umich.edu/ipe-photo

Please keep in mind that photograph submissions will be viewable by students, faculty, staff, parents, prospective students and others outside of the UM community. Photos should be tasteful and should not include alcohol or tobacco use.  Please submit photos in high quality/resolution.
