About Classrooms
The College currently maintains 46 centrally-scheduled classrooms. These rooms can be reserved by any Engineering department for classes or events. Part of the Instructional Technology effort is to install, maintain, and support use of the technology in these rooms.
Upgrades and improvements to classrooms are made every year as part of a classroom upgrade project. All 46 college classrooms are equipped with a video projector, and all but one have a button panel or touchscreen control to simply operation and improve reliability
Equipment Search & Support Documents
The classroom information and support website provides detailed documentation for each classroom, including what type of equipment is installed, and tips on troubleshooting problems should they arise. Support Contacts
- Scheduling - To reserve a classroom, contact Paul Ivacko by email at pauli@umich.edu or by phone at (734) 647-7112.
- Training on A/V Equipment - To schedule a training appointment for the A/V equipment in a classroom or auditorium, send email to CAEN staff at caen@umich.edu.
- A/V Equipment Problems - Report equipment problems to the CAEN Hotline at (734) 764-CAEN or send email to caen@umich.edu. Equipment will be inspected during hours when classes are not in session.
- Classroom Facility Problems - For building facility problems during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), call CoE Facilities Management at (734) 647-7070. For after hours emergencies, call 9-1-1.
